On its internet site, www.luedenscheid.de,the town of Lüdenscheid includes numerous links to otherinternet web sites. The following statement applies to all theselinks: We declare that we have no influence on the design andcontents of the linked pages. With reference to the judgement passedon May 12, 1998 by the Hamburg County Court, we herewith specificallydistance ourselves from the entire contents of each linked page andconfirm we do not adopt these contents as our own. In itsabove-mentioned judgement, the Hamburg County Court stated that byplacing a link, responsibility might be incurred for the contents ofthe linked pages. The County Court stated that this could only beprevented by means of a statement distancing an internet site fromthe contents of linked pages.
