(Development and firm founders' centre Lüdenscheid)As a technology centre in the region, the EGC offers up to 30 young and innovative companies optimal conditions for development, and is the headquarters of the following institutes, which are supported by around 250 companies:
- German Institute for Applied Lighting Engineering GmbH (DIAL GmbH)
- Institute for Metalworking for medium-sized industry GmbH (IfU GmbH)
- Plastics Institute for NRW medium-sized industry GmbH (K.I.M.W. NRW GmbH)
Services of the EGC and the institutes for companies:
- Carrying out of research and development by the institutes on the basis of commissions provided by companies
- Material tests and failure analysis in the institutes' laboratories
- Development of prototypes in the technical department of the relevant institute
- Company consultancy in the fields of technology, company analyses, quality and environmental management, sponsorship funds for research and development and technological projects, marketing of innovations
- Vocational qualifications and further training in cooperation with various bodies
- Conferences and seminars in the EGC's and institutes' own conference rooms
